We didn't get to Lake Tahoe until late afternoon. After checking in to our condo, we spent a little time at one of our favorite waterfalls, Lower Eagle Creek Falls. Monday, 1 May 2017.
After dinner, we caught a Tahoe sunset. Sunsets almost always seem to be more dramatic over Lake Tahoe. Monday, 1 May 2017.
The next morning, we bundled up and went to Zephyr Cove on the Nevada side of Lake Tahoe. Tuesday, 2 May 2017.
After Zephyr Cove, we drove north to the east shore of Tahoe, our favorite portion of the lake. This spot is a bit south of Chimney Beach.

We walked a bit south along the shore. The Sierra Nevada Mountains and the west shore of Tahoe are visible in the background.
Similar area, with trees instead of boulders. In the past we've explored for miles south of Chimney, but Angela couldn't walk as far as usual (9-10 months after breaking her foot).
This was the earliest in the season we've been to Tahoe, and there was much more snow in the mountains than we'd ever seen. Sometimes it came down on the road! Tuesday, 2 May 2017.
Another of our favorite spots: Mt Tallac reflecting in the waters of Fallen Leaf Lake. Wednesday, 3 May 2017.
The end of our quick trip to Tahoe. A final lunch, right on the beach in South Lake Tahoe. Wednesday, 3 May 2017.
